Christmas Songs

Dear [Jackie],

I’m making a list, and checking it twice, I’m going to find out if you’ve been naughty or nice...

Hmm. I think I’ve been listening to too much Christmas music already. Well, it’s never enough, is it? Keep being good, and maybe I’ll bring you your two front teeth or a hippopotamus for Christmas. Or maybe just a new [Xbox game].

And please keep Grandma away from the reindeer.

Elf Mischief

Dear [Sadie],

I’ve sent something special your way. Soon you’ll see a little elf spying on you. When you’re sleeping, he magics up here at the North Pole to tell me what’s going on in [Pawnie], So be sure to be good, and I’ll be sure to come by on Christmas Eve. And if that elf causes any mischief, my apologies. I’ll make sure he’s put on reindeer clean-up duty once Christmas is over.

Elf Magic

Dear [Ethan],

You know what’s coming up soon? Christmas! And I’ve sent an elf to keep an eye on you. You may see him pop up every now and then, but be sure not to touch him or his magic will rub off. No, it won’t rub off on you; the magic “poofs” away, like sneezing into a bag of powdered sugar.

Don’t do that either.

Be good this season, and I’ll be by on Christmas Eve!

Santa Proof

Dear [Vicky],

Surprise! This is Santa writing to wish you a Merry Christmas.

You don’t believe it’s me, do you? I get that a lot. And you want some proof? No problem.

If I weren’t Santa, would I know that you [used to be in love with me when you were five?]

Yep, it’s me all right. And I want you to know I’m keeping an eye on you, so keep being good and I’ll be by on Christmas Eve!

Watching You

Dear [Steve],

Merry Christmas from the North Pole! I wished we could share some of our snow with you, but instead I’ll bring you some [bubble gum flavored candy canes] at Christmas. You’ve been so good, and I’m so pleased with you.

Keep up the good work, and remember that I’m watching you! (Don’t worry; we never look when you’re in the bathroom.) Have a Merry Christmas!

Checkup

Dear [Chloe],

Greetings from the North Pole! I’d write “Wish you were here,” but I won’t, because then you’d see our workshop and the gift I’m wrapping up for you, then it won’t be a surprise.

But I’ve been watching you, and I know you’ve been oh so good, so keep it up and I’ll be coming by your place in [Portland] on Christmas Eve!

Ho, ho, ho and Merry Christmas!

Guess Who

Dear [Dillan],

Guess who? Yes, this is Santa! And guess what I’m looking at? That’s right, The List. And guess what else? You’re on the Nice List!

And guess what that means? The [Darth Vader helmet] you asked for? Guess what, you just might be getting on Christmas Day.

I guess you’re just going to have to wait and see!

No Raisins

Dear [Natasha],

Greetings from the North Pole! Santa here, happy to tell you that you’re on my Nice List!

I know your year was a bit rough, but you’ve come through it well. I’m so proud of you, and I can’t wait to bring you something special for Christmas. If you can, toss out some oatmeal for the reindeer. (But no raisins; they tend to make their own, if you know what I mean).

"My daughter is 24. Out of all the presents she received she said this one was the most memorable! Brought back the real spirit of Christmas for her. We need to bring back those wonderful innocent childhood memories. Isn't that was Christmas is all about."
